PTA’s Nominating Committee was elected at the December 11, 2008 General Assembly PTA meeting.  In accordance with our bylaws, the Nominating Committee shall nominate one eligible person for each of the following elected offices for the 2009-2010 school year: 

President       

1st VP–Programs     

2nd VP–Membership

3rd VP – Fundraising          

4th VP–VIPS            

Secretary                  

Treasurer

We appreciate your help with our nomination process.  This is a very important process and board nominations should be carefully considered.  Feel free to make as many nominations as you wish and self-nominations are encouraged.  Before you nominate anyone, please get their permission to submit his or her name. 

 

The slate of officer candidates will be presented during the Election of Officers at the PTA General Assembly Meeting on March 10, 2009.  Additional nominations may be made from the floor.  To inform the committee of interest, or to suggest someone to serve in one of the above elected offices, return the Officer Nomination Form no later than Friday, February 20, 2009:

 

-  to school via your student addressed to “PTA Nominating Committee”

-  place in ballot box on Welcome Desk at school

 

The Nominating Committee is only responsible for filling the officer positions listed above.  But, if you are interested or know someone who is interested, in a non-elected board position or any other specific volunteer position, or you know of a good candidate, please include their name and the position on the Officer Nomination Form.  The form lists other non-elected board positions.  We will forward this information to the newly elected Board Officers.
