A Message from Rylander PTA President :
If you are new to Rylander Elementary and to Katy, Texas, we wish to extend a warm welcome. We’re glad you’re here and we hope you will soon feel like an integral part of our Rylander family. For those of you returning to Rylander, welcome back once again. While our student population has grown to over 1,100, we still pride ourselves with keeping that small town, close-knit feel. We achieve this in part by the many parents that get involved at the school and in the community each day.
To help you get acquainted, here are some facts about Rylander Elementary.
Our mascot is the Rhino. (We have affectionately named him Rocky.)
We are all so proud of him and we’re sure you’ll agree as soon as you get a chance to meet him.
Our school colors are maroon, green, and silver.
Our motto is "Charging To Academic Excellence".
Our school song speaks of our vision in a “rockin” sort of way.
Our favorite saying is - “Rhinos Rock”! (And we truly think they do!)
The foundation of our success includes the Rylander Staff, Teachers, Students, Parents, and the Community. We understand that it is imperative that we work together in order to achieve our goal. This includes working to help every child reach his or her fullest potential. Ways that you can help us reach this goal are to get involved by joining the PTA, volunteering on or off campus, your financial support, attending school events or simply by getting involved any way you can. All of these things show your child that their education is not only important to them but it is important to you too.
We are looking forward to another exciting year here at Rylander, and also a very special year as we celebrate our 5 year anniversary. So, we encourage you be a part of the fun this year by becoming actively involved in our PTA. Remember, your support, efforts, and involvement benefit all of our children. If I may answer any questions or assist you in any way please do not hesitate to contact me at president@rylanderpta.org.
Thanks for your support this year and remember, RHINOS ROCK!
Warmest Regards,
Theresa Wilkinson - RRE PTA President 2009-2010
